Church Water Bills

As some of you may be aware, Water Companies are ignoring churches’ charitable status and starting to charge churches for the amount of area (i.e. roofs and car parks) that will collect rainwater which is then discharged into the sewer network. This will effectively raise most churches’ water bills,  possibly by hundreds and in some cases by thousands of pounds.

For those of you on-line, there is an online government petition where you can register your objection at www.petitions.pm.gov.uk/ChurchWaterBills.  Please register and ask your like-minded friends to do also -  the petition needs at least 15,000 entries to be noticed.
